Job Description

The Audioscenic Amphi AI Beamforming technology uses computer vision and real-time adaptive audio signal processing to deliver audio beams directly to the users’ ears. We are looking for skilled software engineers  that can help us advance  and further develop our audio signal processing system. The aim is to port our code base to a growing number of hardware and software platforms and to deploy it to a multitude of diverse consumer products, helping us become a world leader in advanced 3D audio reproduction systems. 

For this, we are looking for experienced individuals that have applicable software development skills and good understanding of real-time audio applications  that can help us to advance our audio processing algorithms and to port, maintain and optimise them on different platforms.

The candidate should have experience in developing and maintaining code and documentation to high quality standards, and very importantly, to work within a multidisciplinary team, formed of other audio software  engineers, computer vision specialists and of our wider product development and R&D teams.

 

The technology developed at Audioscenic is aimed at novel consumer products that will represent the forefront of audio engineering in the years to come. Working with us, you will have the opportunity to work with customers all over the world.

Lab-based work is required for testing, tuning and development of systems, but a flexible lab and home-work basis is possible when convenient.

 

Education

Degree in computer science, electronic engineering, or equivalent experience

Previous experience

Two or more years experience of software development, or equivalent experience

 

Skillset and Interests

 

Required

  • Proven development experience in C++ and Python

  • Strong focus on writing reusable, testable code, incl. unit testing

Desirable

  • Experience with creating cross platform applications

  • Other programming languages, e.g., C#, JavaScript

  • Audio interests are a plus

  • Strong communication skills and friendly personality are a plus plus

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas

  • real time audio software development

  • GUI development e.g. Electron or similar

  • Unit testing

  • DevOps/ CI

  • Linux and networking system administration

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test software using C++

  • Maintain software including defect investigation and root cause analysis

  • Develop, refactor, fix issues and maintain GUI.

  • Collaborate with other teams
