Embedded Linux Software Engineer

The Audioscenic listener-adaptive 3D audio technology uses computer vision and real-time adaptive audio signal processing to deliver audio beams directly to the users’ ears. We are looking for skilled software engineers that can help us advance and further develop our audio signal processing system. The aim is to port our code base to a growing number of hardware and software platforms and to deploy it to a multitude of diverse consumer products, helping us become a world leader in advanced 3D audio reproduction systems.
For this, we are looking for experienced individuals that have applicable software development skills and good understanding of real-time audio applications that can help us to advance our audio processing algorithms and to port, maintain and optimise them on different platforms
The candidate should have experience in developing and maintaining code and documentation to high quality standards, and very importantly, to work within a multidisciplinary team, formed of other audio software engineers, computer vision specialists and of our wider product development and R&D teams.

Lab-based work is required for testing, tuning and development of systems, but a flexible lab and home-work basis is possible when convenient.
Degree in computer science, electronic engineering, or equivalent experience.
One or more years in Linux SW development for embedded devices, preferably with focus on audio and/or real-time applications, or equivalent experience.
Skillset and Interests
Proven development experience in C++ and Python
Proven development experience with Linux on embedded platforms
Experience with build frameworks for embedded Linux
Strong focus on writing reusable, testable code, incl. unit testing
Experience with real-time applications on Linux
Experience implementing real-time audio software on embedded platforms
Knowledge of Linux Real-time / RTOS extensions
Experience with OpenEmbedded / Yocto
Experience with NXP application processors / NXP Immersiv3D framework
Experience/ interest in audio signal processing / DSP algorithms
Experience with DSP libraries for embedded processors
Audio interests are a plus
Strong communication skills and friendly personality are a plus plus
