Job Description

The Audioscenic listener-adaptive 3D audio technology uses computer vision and real-time adaptive audio signal processing to deliver audio beams directly to the users’ ears. This allows a super immersive spatial audio experience without the need of wearables or headphones. An example of a system using our technology can be found here:

We are looking for a skilled integration engineer who can help us advance and further develop our audio signal processing system. The aim is to port our code base to a growing number of hardware and software platforms and to deploy it to a multitude of diverse consumer products, helping us become a world leader in advanced 3D audio reproduction systems.


For this, we are looking for individuals who have experience in integrating software onto a range of different hardware platforms. 

The candidate should have experience in developing and maintaining code and documentation to high quality standards, and very importantly, to work within a multidisciplinary team, formed of other audio software engineers, computer vision specialists and of our wider product development and R&D teams. 

The technology developed at Audioscenic is aimed at novel consumer products that will represent the forefront of audio engineering in the years to come. Working with us, you will have the opportunity to work with customers all over the world.

Lab-based work is required for testing, tuning and development of systems, but a flexible lab and home-work basis is possible when convenient.



Degree in computer science, electronic engineering, or equivalent experience.

Previous experience

One or more years in software development for DSP hardware, preferably for audio signal processing applications


Skillset and Interests



  • Proven development experience in C, C++

  • Experience of integrating DSP algorithms into a variety of platforms

  • Strong focus on writing platform agnostic, testable code, including unit testing

  • Knowledge and experience with working with hardware including: debugging, communications protocols, understanding component datasheets


  • Development experience in Python for modelling and testing

  • Experience with embedded platforms, e.g. Linux, RTOS, bare metal

  • Experience with different architectures, e.g. x86_64, ARM, one or more DSP processors (HIFI, SHARC, etc)

  • Experience with the Yocto build system for embedded Linux

  • Experience with creating realtime software.

  • Willingness to adapt to a variety of new platforms and architectures based on customer requirements

  • Experience with system testing and test automation

  • Experience with discussing technical details with FAEs and external customer

  • Audio interests are a plus

  • Strong communication skills and friendly personality are a strong positive

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for integration and implementation for new platforms

  • To investigate and debug issues discovered on customer hardware prototypes

  • Contributions to development of testing systems and processes to allow validation of target platforms
