Audioscenic Appoints Chris Spearing as Chief Executive Officer

06 October 2026

Audioscenic has appointed Chris Spearing as Chief Executive Officer.

Spearing’s career history includes many of the most recognisable names in audio and gaming technology, including senior roles at PDP, Logitech and Microsoft, and as Vice President of the Consumer Division at Sony. Throughout that career, his focus has consistently been on helping technology businesses identify new opportunities and translate innovative products into sustainable commercial growth.

In his new role, Spearing will focus on sharpening the company's strategy, developing key partnerships and expanding the reach of Audioscenic's technology across new products, platforms and markets.

The appointment comes as Audioscenic continues to build momentum across the consumer electronics, gaming and audio industries. Following the launch earlier this year of the Windows APO and integration into Lenovo's Legion series, the company is actively expanding its relationships across new device categories, with its Beamcasting® technology already integrated into products from Lenovo, Razer, Acer and Dell.

John Croteau, Executive Chairman at Audioscenic, commented on the appointment:

"Chris brings exactly the combination of commercial experience, industry relationships and partnership-led growth that Audioscenic needs for its next stage. His understanding of consumer electronics, along with his track record of building businesses through strategic partnerships, will be invaluable as we continue to scale Audioscenic."

Spearing's background in audio and gaming sectors is a natural fit for a company that already counts Lenovo and Razer among its partners and that has ambitions to bring spatial audio to a far broader range of devices and price points than currently exist in the market.

Speaking on his appointment, Spearing said: "I'm excited to be joining Audioscenic at such an important point in the company's development. Our technology has the potential to fundamentally change how people experience audio. From making the creation of immersive content more accessible to creators, to bringing that same technology to consumers, delivering a new level of immersion; the audio experience the creator intended.

"Most people still associate spatial audio with headphones or complex multi-speaker surround sound systems. Our job is to change that expectation by showing what is possible: immersive, directional sound, straight from the speakers already built into the devices people use every day.

"Our integration with Lenovo Legion proves it works at scale on a laptop. The next step is bringing that same experience to more brands, more categories and across more price points. We envision a future where impactful immersive audio is as accessible, as standard, as stereo is today."
